About the Project

A large number of patients at our neurology outpatient clinic experience functional problems, including in particular:

  • weakening of the muscle corset, muscle imbalance
  • reduced joint mobility, ligament and tendon flexibility
  • overweight, digestive problems, impaired glucose tolerance
  • high blood pressure
  • headaches, reduced sleep quality, loss of concentration
  • decreased vitality
  • emotional instability, insecurity, anxiety

Ignoring these problems often leads to the development of more serious issues. By then, there is not much vitality and perseverance left to restore health, and so the person remains trapped in a cycle of medical examinations and medication, which often only treat the symptoms, i.e., suppress the symptoms but do not eliminate the cause of the disease. Illness, suppressed in its manifestation but not in its development, leads to a further decline in the overall health of the person, who becomes a burden on the healthcare system and a good customer for pharmaceutical companies.

We are responsible for our own health, and doctors are there to intervene when we are unable to do so ourselves. If we understand this, we are halfway there. The other half is our will and daily work. Observing the life stories of patients shows how difficult, and often almost impossible, it is to change daily routines, habits, and behavior patterns, which ultimately lead to improved health and quality of life.

The purpose of this project is to help those who have taken responsibility for their own health, want to work on it, but do not know how, and need to take the first steps, which are more difficult the more their health has been neglected.

Under no circumstances is this a matter of diverting patients away from doctors.

Ondřej Tábořík

For fifteen years, I worked in an industrial environment, and my job was highly stressful and time-consuming. I attribute my survival during this period mainly to traditional Eastern and classical fitness exercises, which I have been doing for over twenty years. Every day, I talk to dozens of patients, and in various forms, I hear the same things that I went through:

  • demanding jobs,
  • lack of time,
  • poor lifestyle choices,
  • chronic physical and mental overload,
  • dysfunctional interpersonal relationships.

These conditions give rise to functional problems which, if ignored, develop into more serious difficulties, and the cycle continues – conditions remain unchanged, health deteriorates. I know the way out, and I help those who want it to get started on that path. I fill a gap that conventional medicine often cannot offer:

  • life review,
  • setting corrective measures,
  • setting preventive measures,
  • support and assistance in their implementation.

The journey of change usually takes about a year. I am sincerely happy for every person who goes through it with me.

Name and motto

Cura vitae

The Latin phrase cura vitae literally means:

  • cura - care, concern, looking after
  • vitae - for life, nominative vita - life

Cura vitae therefore means caring for life, figuratively caring for health, well-being, and quality of life.

Curatum non perit

The Latin phrase curatum non perit literally means:

  • curatum - what has been treated, what has been cared for, infinitive curare - to care for, to look after
  • non – not
  • perit - perishes, disappears, vanishes, infinitive perire - to perish, to disappear, to vanish

Curatum non perit therefore means what has been taken care of will not perish, figuratively the effort expended is never in vain.

Overall, the name and motto Cura vitae, curatum non perit can be paraphrased as caring for health is difficult, but the effort expended is never in vain.
